MSIP Connectors

These insulating piercing connectors are intended for 'live' jointing on to LV mains cables (when following suitable procedures.


The connectors are a fully shrouded connector body with a shear head bolt that detaches once the correct torque is reached.


Suitable for up to 300mm² main & up to 2x35mm² service conductors

Designed and tested to IEC 61238-1

LVIP Connectors

LVIP connectors allow live jointing of solid or stranded service cables up to 35mm2 onto low voltage main cables from 50mm2 up to 300mm2 including imperial equivalent sizes. This includes sector or round conductors with XLPE, PVC or paper insulation.

  • 5kV withstand testing to increase the installers’ safety
  • Reduced profile lowering resin volume needed
  • Ergonomic design allowing 2 service connections from each LVIP connector
  • Reduce stock levels with only two connectors covering a wide range of cable diameters from 50-300mm2
  • Shear torque controlled mains connections for quick, consistent and easy installation
  • Tested to IEC 61238
