RRGS - Guano Guard

Raychem rigid red guano protection shields (RRGS) protect against bird streamer-caused outages. The unique shield design provides protection from fecal and other soluble contaminates which come from the insulator string.

Our Raychem RRGS two-piece shield design attaches easily with plastic bolts and nuts around the top of the insulator. We manufacture shields with designs for porcelain, glass, polymeric, and silicone insulator strings which are available in both 450 mm (18 inch) and 600 mm (24 inch) diameters.

Our excellent Raychem high-voltage, outdoor materials are used in the RRGS shield design. The rugged, non-tracking, UV-resistant, high-temperature polymer ensures long-term performance, even in extreme environmental conditions.
